What Brighton are now privately saying about Liverpool moving for Moises Caicedo - journalist
Journalist Greame Bailey has claimed that Brighton are denying that Liverpool have made an actual bid to sign their midfielder and Chelsea target Moises Caicedo.
He took to Twitter to state that discussions have though taken place between the two clubs regarding a potential move.
In what is turning out to be a dramatic day in this summer transfer window, it has been claimed that Liverpool have outbid Chelsea to sign Caicedo.

The news follows claims last week that a mystery club had outbid the Blues, however these were waived off at the time as simply negotiation tactics.
However, the Reds have now been named as the side who are rivalling Chelsea for a deal for their number one transfer target throughout the entire summer.
They have fallen short so far of Brighton’s asking price, which is believed to rival the prices paid for Enzo Fernandez and Declan Rice.
Brighton deny Caicedo bid
Bailey has claimed at this stage that the Seagulls are of the belief that Liverpool have not actually submitted an official bid for his services.
He said: “Brighton deny Liverpool have made bid for Moises Caicedo, but talks have taken place. Both clubs now in for Caicedo as well as Lavia.”
This all follows claims that Chelsea are now keen on signing Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia from under the noses of their opening day Premier League opponents.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been meandering round the Championship side’s asking price, although reports have stated that Chelsea have now bid more.
The saga looks destined to end with each club ending up with one of the players now both on their shortlist, however at this stage there is no real indication which way it goes.
It will be interesting to see if a conclusion is reached before the sides go head-to-head on the pitch on Sunday.
