'Got no confidence': Darren Bent says 22-year-old Chelsea player is really struggling right now
Darren Bent claims Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk is someone playing with very little confidence right now.
Mykhailo Mudryk, who’s now 22, is desperate to find some form in his game.
The left-winger earned a huge £89million (BBC) transfer to Stamford Bridge in January because of his raw pace and huge potential.
However, zero goals and two assists in 20 Chelsea appearances in total highlights his struggles.

TalkSPORT pundit Bent has delivered his assessment on Chelsea’s out of form attacker.
“He’s got no confidence whatsoever. He can’t get a run of games. He’s got no confidence at the minute,” Bent told talkSPORT.

The international break saw Mudryk link up with his country Ukraine for a couple of match, but it was another frustrating time for him. In fact, Pat Nevin said Mudryk was completely bullied when he came up against Kyle Walker in Ukraine’s draw against England (BBC’s Football Daily podcast).
It’s obvious the best way for Mudryk to lift his spirits is with performances on the pitch, but can he force his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s XI?
The rapid winger is certainly an option to start if Pochettino returns to the 4-2-3-1 formation that looked effective in pre-season. If not, he’ll need to make more of these cameo performances.
It does feel like the fanbase are still behind the player and desperate for him to get a slice of luck.
