Report: Chelsea now considering recalling 19-year-old loanee to the first team in January
Reports have claimed that Chelsea are now considering bringing Andrey Santos back from his loan deal at Nottingham Forest.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues could even bring the 19-year-old back with the intention of him joining up with Mauricio Pochettino’s side for the rest of the campaign.
Santos has endured a miserable spell on loan so far at the Premier League side. He has very rarely even been seen in the matchday squad at the City Ground.

His only start of the campaign came in the EFL Cup, and therefore his development is being severely limited in what is a big moment for him.
After being brought in last January, there was a lot of faith in his abilities. He was even rated by some at the club as the best addition of the window, ahead of Enzo Fernandez.
There were plenty of clubs interested in a loan for the Brazil international, and there will certainly be questions as to how they got this choice so wrong.
Santos could return to first team
Nevertheless, it has begun to be reported that there is a good chance he is recalled in January. Forest will reportedly not stand in their way if they choose to make this call.
While another loan away from the club on paper looks the best thing they can do, it has now been claimed that recalling him to be part of Pochettino’s side for the rest of the season has not been ruled out.
It would be difficult to see many minutes available for Santos at Stamford Bridge due to the fierce competition for places at the club right now.
Behind Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, the likes of Lesley Ugochukwu and Romeo Lavia are also competing for places in the side in the coming weeks.
