What Todd Boehly did right after Chelsea’s victory vs Fulham yesterday - journalist

Todd Boehly was in attendance for Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Fulham at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

Todd Boehly has become the face of Chelsea‘s new ownership group, but the Daily Mail reported last month that the American had taken a step back at the club, with fellow co-owner Behdad Eghbali taking on more responsibility.

However, Boehly was at Stamford Bridge to watch Mauricio Pochettino‘s side beat their west London rivals and came on to the pitch after the game alongside co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, according to journalist Bobby Vincent.

What did the three discuss? Perhaps transfer business. With the transfer window open, Winstanley and Stewart have the opportunity to bring in new recruits.

Chelsea have recently been linked with Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.

Todd Boehly watched important Chelsea win

Boehly was at the Bridge to witness what was quite an important victory for Chelsea. They needed to bounce back after their defeat against Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup during the week and had the chance to climb the Premier League table.

They managed to do that and are now eighth. All of a sudden, European football looks like a realistic objective again.

Champions League qualification may be out of sight, but it is not impossible for Chelsea to qualify for the Europa League.

Boehly and Eghbali would have gone into the season hoping for more than that, but it has not been a straightforward campaign for Pochettino.

The Argentine has had to deal with so many injury problems, with Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia both finding themselves on the sidelines once again. Pochettino is also without his captain and first-choice right-back Reece James, though he has just seen left-back Ben Chilwell return from injury.

It is why Chelsea are not flying right now; however, their squad is still good enough to be higher than 10th, which is where the club have actually been for most of the season.
