Enzo Maresca reacts as Chelsea complete Pedro Neto signing, says he's 'very good' at one thing
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has yet another new player to integrate into the squad for the upcoming season.
Enzo Maresca is new himself this summer at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea head coach, and he’s been joined by several transfer additions.
The Blues confirmed on Sunday afternoon that Pedro Neto, 24, has officially joined them on a seven-year contract from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Jason Cundy shared his excitement at Neto joining Chelsea, as quoted by Chelsea’s official app. Hopefully, the Portuguese winger can become a big favourite in West London in the same way he was loved at Wolves.

Enzo Maresca reacts to Pedro Neto signing
Maresca expressed his delight after Chelsea completed Neto’s signing this weekend. It’s very interesting to immediately hear him say that he thinks the left-footed winger is “very good” in one-on-one situations.
A trademark of Maresca’s Leicester City side last season is that the wide men were key offensive threats, so hopefully the new £54m signing (Sky Sports) will hit the ground running at the Bridge.
When reacting to the Neto signing, Maresca said via Chelsea’s official website: “I’m very excited, he can offer many things. He can play on the right side, he can play on the left side, he’s very good one-on-one.
“It is one more option we have because there will be many, many games in the season, so we need a big squad.”
Chelsea depth in wide positions
Now that Neto’s signed, Chelsea really do possess some serious depth in attack. It’s something that could come in handy if the Blues go far in domestic and European competitions in the new season.
The current options on the wings include the likes of Neto, Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk and Cole Palmer.
It would be useful for Maresca to find some consistency in his XI, but perhaps we’ll see plenty of rotation in the early part of the season.
