How Cesar Azpilicueta has already helped Conor Gallagher in Atletico Madrid training
One of last season’s best performing Chelsea players has today officially moved away from the club on a permanent basis.
Conor Gallagher’s move to Atletico Madrid has been confirmed, after it became clear months ago that he had no real future at Stamford Bridge.
John Terry has wished Gallagher well for his future, with the midfielder posting a farewell message on social media as his time as a Blue came to an end.
Chelsea fans are not happy with how Gallagher was treated in terms of his exit, with him essentially being frozen out of the picture completely at Stamford Bridge.
He is finally able to get his career at Atletico underway, with him already being spotted in training with his new teammates.

Azpilicueta translating for Gallagher in Atletico training sessions
One of those players is familiar face Cesar Azpilicueta, who of course enjoyed an illustrious career with the Blues.
It looks as if the former skipper has not lost his leadership skills. A video posted on Mundo Deportivo’s website shows Azpilicueta translating instructions to Gallagher so he is able to complete drills.
Atletico fans made it clear they were desperate for Gallagher to join, starting a campaign on social media to convince their club to get the deal over the line.
Chelsea sign Joao Felix
It looks as if that deal was waiting on Chelsea confirming the signing of Joao Felix, with the Portuguese star returning to Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis.
Enzo Maresca has already said he is a big fan of Felix, with him in particular admiring his ability to play in various positions in attack.
The new boss will have the headache though of trying to select from a large pool of players for a few positions every week from now.
His decisions may get one step easier after the news reported that Raheem Sterling has expressed a desire to leave Chelsea on a permanent basis this summer.
