Leicester fans react to reports Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana has agreed to join them
Many Leicester City fans on social media are reacting in the same way to reports that they could soon sign Chelsea’s David Datro Fofana this summer.
Blues striker David Datro Fofana, who’s aged just 21, is tipped with a potential exit from Stamford Bridge. This comes after he had two spells out on loan last season, first with Union Berlin and then at Burnley.
It’s been reported by LondonWorld on Tuesday that Chelsea forward Fofana has agreed to join Leicester. Apparently, the youngster’s agreed a move to the King Power Stadium, with the Foxes now in talks to finalise a loan with an option to buy in the coming days.

Leicester fans not happy with David Datro Fofana links
A selection of Leicester supporters on social media have reacted fairly negatively to suggestions that Fofana could be about to join them.
They’re back in the Premier League for the 2024/25 campaign following promotion last year, but Steve Cooper is the new individual in the manager’s dugout
Here are some of the Foxes fanbase discussing the Chelsea youngster:
One fan said: “Don’t want to be negative but this is not a good deal.”
Another posted: “So we are signing players that can’t make the first team?”
A fifth supporter shared: “It’s a fine move I guess. Nothing amazing.”
Another said: “Burnley were in the same position as us just needed to survive and Fofana didnt keep them up and they don’t seem to rate him at all.”
David Datro Fofana could surprise a few
If Fofana ends up joining Leicester, there’s every chance he could prove the doubtful supporters wrong.
The Ivory Coast international did give Burnley a mini boost in the second half of last season after joining them on loan, albeit they were still relegated from the top division.
He scored four goals in a struggling side and caught the eye. Alan Shearer even named Fofana in a Team of the Week after a Premier League display last season.
It makes little sense to write off a 21-year-old talent that definitely has potential with great pace and physicality. Unfortunately for him, there’s just too many forwards in the current squad at Chelsea for him to force his way in.
