'I think': Stan Collymore predicts the result of Bournemouth vs Chelsea on Saturday night

Stan Collymore has made his prediction ahead of Saturday night’s clash between Bournemouth and Chelsea.

Now that the international break is over, Chelsea return to action this weekend in the Premier League with a trip to the South Coast.

Enzo Maresca confirmed Romeo Lavia is unavailable against Bounemouth, but the midfielder is expected back next weekend against West Ham. On top of that, Malo Gusto is unavailable versus Bournemouth.

Stan Collymore predicts Bournemouth vs Chelsea

Stan Collymore is predicting a five-goal thriller when Bournemouth host Chelsea this weekend, tipping the visitors to sneak a 3-2 victory.

When predicting Bournemouth against Chelsea, Collymore told talkSPORT: “They are both creating chances, they are both scoring goals. Lots of suggestions that Bournemouth may tank after [Dominic] Solanke has gone, that’s not the case. They have started okay, and Chelsea have won the last three away in the Premier League.

“Of course, Bournemouth snatched victory at the jaws of defeat 10 days ago against Everton. I think this one’s to be Bournemouth 2 Chelsea 3 and an absolute feast of football.”

Crucial set of fixtures for Chelsea

The Blues have four league fixtures before the October international break, plus a couple of cup ties against Barrow (Carabao Cup) and Gent (Conference League).

Maresca’s side have made an average start to the new league season with four points from three matches, but it feels like a great opportunity to put a solid run together in the next few weeks.

Chelsea won just one of their opening six league matches last season under Mauricio Pochettino, so it left them playing catch up early doors. Let’s hope Maresca doesn’t fall into the same trap.
