'They are buzzing': Romano says Chelsea think they've found another 'super talent' as well as Estevao Willian

Chelsea have switched their attention to signing younger players over the past couple of seasons, and it looks like it could be starting to pay off.

Enzo Maresca is reportedly looking to play Estevao Willian as soon as next season despite him being just 17 years of age, due to his performances this past year.

There is a lot of excitement over the future of the young Brazilian, and it comes as no great surprise as he’s already made his debut for the Brazilian national team.

Interestingly, Estevao’s club form is on par with Neymar’s from his time in the Brazilian league, so the Blues will be hoping that he continues on the same trajectory.

He scored 15 goals and assisted 10 from 41 games in all competitions last season, operating mostly as a right winger.

And, it looks as if Chelsea have unearthed another exciting player as well as Estevao Willian

Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea are already putting plans in place for Kendry Paez

The Blues signed 11 players in the summer transfer window, and the oldest of those players is Tosin Adarabioyo at 26 years of age.

It’s clear that Todd Boehly‘s new Chelsea policy is to look at young players in the hope they develop into superstars. We just have to hope we actually see them rather than just loaning them out for their career.

Interestingly, it appears as if the Blues feel as if they may have another ‘super talent’ as well as Willian Estevao.

When speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Chelsea are buzzing about the signing of Kendry Paez, who is set to join in 2025.

“In terms of talents guys, we already mentioned Chelsea and Willian Estevao a few videos ago. But they are also buzzing for Kendry Paez, the Ecuadorian super talent.

“And I can guarantee to you that there are some clubs around Europe thinking ugh why didn’t they sign Kendry Paez, especially in Germany there were clubs super interested in Kendry Paez.

“Bayer Leverkusen tried but there were other clubs interested in Kendry they didn’t invest on him at the right moment and then Chelsea signed this super, super talent.

“He will arrive in summer 2025. He was already in London few months ago to prepare to adopt he was at Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea are working really on every single detail for Kendry Paez, so monitoring his progress on the pitch, monitoring everything also off the pitch to have the best version possible of Kendry Paez in 2025.

“Chelsea are in direct contact with people close to the player to inform him about everything they want him to do to arrive in 2025 in the best conditions possible for Chelsea.

“So they are buzzing for Kendy Paez really very, very happy with the investment they made, remember it’s something around 20 million, add-ons included. So already already a fantastic signing for Chelsea.”

Ray Kendry Paez Andrade was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on May 4, 2007.

He stands at five feet, nine inches tall (1.75 metres), which makes him the same height as Mykhailo Mudryk , and only Pedro Neto and Marc Cucurella are shorter.

The 17-year-old is a very versatile attacker who can operate on either wing or centrally. He is also left-footed and likes to cut inside onto his stronger foot and get shots off.
