Why Enzo Maresca was still angry at Chelsea players despite 5-0 win vs Barrow - journalist
Things went about as well as could be expected for Chelsea tonight as they made their way into the next round of the Carabao Cup.
The Blues picked up a 5-0 win over League 2 Barrow, with a host of players given a chance to impress Enzo Maresca at last.
Christopher Nkunku didn’t take long to show he still had his shooting boots on, with him notching a hat-trick to put even more pressure on the boss to hand him a start.

There was also a nice moment for summer signing Pedro Neto, who capped off a start with his first goal for the club.
Joao Felix’s free-kick also led to a man own goal, with the attack on fire tonight at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca not happy with Chelsea pressing
It doesn’t seem like it was enough for Maresca though. Journalist Nizaar Kinsella has claimed that the Italian was still not happy with what he was seeing from his attack.
He said: “Enzo Maresca is still getting angry with some of his forwards about their pressing efforts.”
The competition for places up top is extremely tough right now, with the starters not giving much room for change with how they are playing right now.
They were recently on fire against West Ham, with Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer finding the net.
The players who were on display tonight will still likely be having to wait for their chance to start to come in cup games for the forseeable future, with the Conference League coming up in just over a week’s time.
However, it is no doubt still a nice headache for the manager to have to decide between players who are in form, rather than those struggling at this stage.
