‘Brilliant’ Chelsea player named as the number one Premier League signing of the summer

Chelsea were certainly busy over the summer as they looked to give the best platform possible for their new manager to succeed.

Enzo Maresca has so far managed a large and talented squad very well. He was just voted Manager of the Month for the Premier League in September.

So far he has been very loyal to the players who have impressed already for him, and this has seen a number of new signings forced to wait patiently for the opportunity to impress.

The likes of Pedro Neto and Joao Felix are realistically way too good to sit on the bench, however the good form of Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke has made it difficult.

The only new signing who is featuring a lot at the moment is Jadon Sancho, however the impact he is having is very noticeable.

Jadon Sancho named best Premier League signing

Three assists in his first three appearances is something very impressive, and has seemed to compliment the Chelsea attack quite nicely.

The Guardian seem to agree. They have just named him their Number One signing of the summer.

He finishes just ahead of new Tottenham signing Dominic Solanke, who has made a quick impact in the North of London.

His start to the campaign has impressed pundits. Darren Bent described him as ‘brilliant’ earlier this season.

Sancho keeping Mykhailo Mudryk out the team

Sancho is currently keeping the likes of Neto and Mykhailo Mudryk out of the team, with the Ukraine international under big pressure to prove himself at the moment.

Behdad Eghbali is reportedly desperate for things to work out for the winger, however he is running out of time to prove he has a future at Stamford Bridge.

His recent display on international duty is a good start at proving himself, although it is currently going to take a serious effort just to replace Sancho in the starting side.

Given that he can join from Manchester United for just £25m, it’s no wonder he’s one of the additions of the summer.
