'On fire': Jamie O'Hara raves about Chelsea player who's 'proving people wrong' after display in Leicester win

Chelsea secured another victory on the road by winning away at Leicester City this weekend.

It’s extremely congested in this season’s Premier League table, but Chelsea remain third in the standings on goal difference after their 2-1 success at the King Power Stadium.

Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring for the Blues at Leicester on Saturday afternoon. Afterwards, Enzo Fernandez tucked in a header in the second half to net the winner.

Chelsea boss Maresca hailed Jackson’s all-round game after his display against the Foxes. It’s now seven goals in 12 Premier League matches this season for the first-choice Blues striker.

Jamie O’Hara hails Nicolas Jackson after Leicester win

TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara thinks Chelsea’s Jackson was outstanding yet again versus Leicester.

He added the interesting comment that the centre-forward is proving his doubters wrong and really impressing on a consistent basis.

“Nicolas Jackson’s on fire. He’s proving people wrong. He can score goals week in and week out. He’s actually turning into a really good striker,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.

Rio Ferdinand thinks Chelsea’s Jackson is unfairly criticised, something that’s happened to him since his move to English football in the summer of 2023.

The Senegal international has had some struggles in front of goal as a Blues player, but generally he’s been a success in west London. It’s now 24 goals in 57 Chelsea appearances across all competitions since joining from Villarreal.

Peter Crouch agreed Jackson excelled in Chelsea’s victory over Leicester, so he’s now finally starting to get the love from the media that he deserves.

Nicolas Jackson should be licking his lips at upcoming fixtures

Jackson should be disappointed if he’s not hit double figures for league goals this season by the end of 2024.

He’s now up to seven goals this campaign after his clever finish at Leicester, so he should be entering the upcoming fixtures in supreme confidence.

Here is a look at Chelsea’s league fixtures post-international break for the rest of the calendar year:
