Chelsea’s Noni Madueke is certainly a big talking point going into the upcoming match away to Ipswich Town.
Chelsea travel to Ipswich on Monday night in the Premier League for their final game of 2024, so can they end the calendar year on a positive note?
Blues winger Noni Madueke is under the microscope right now after Enzo Maresca left him out of the matchday squad for the Boxing Day defeat to Fulham due to “technical reasons”.
Maresca confirms Chelsea’s Madueke is in contention versus Ipswich, so it’ll be interesting to see if he’s recalled to the squad, and maybe even the starting line-up.

Chelsea fans want Noni Madueke to start vs Ipswich
Many Chelsea supporters on social media are in agreement that Madueke should be recalled straight back into the starting XI for the upcoming trip to Ipswich.

One fan wrote: “Madueke needs to start this game on Monday.”
“Noni should be the starting right-winger. We need some fresh legs and minds in the team,” another added.
One supporter claimed: “Josh Acheampong, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke must start for Chelsea at Ipswich.

Frank Leboeuf raved about Chelsea attacker Madueke after watching him play with such directness earlier in the season. He’s shown glimpses of huge quality this year under Maresca’s watch, but he’s still looking to find that best form on a consistent basis.
Chelsea’s predicted XI to play Ipswich does include the return of Madueke, plus some more changes to the side.

As it stands, it looks like it’s two from three to start for Chelsea in the wide positions. Madueke plays on the right, Jadon Sancho on the left, while Pedro Neto can play either flank.

Sancho was quiet in Chelsea’s loss to Fulham, so Madueke and Neto could be the sensible options to start on Monday night. The Italian coach may not see it the same way, though.
