Chelsea player ratings vs Legia Warsaw as Tyrique George stars and teammate scores 9/10
Chelsea made lightwork of a potentially tricky Conference League quarter-final first leg with a dominant win over Legia Warsaw.
The Blues won 3-0 after Enzo Maresca made a number of key changes to both personnel and system that saw them blow away their opposition in the second half.
Tyrique Goerge scored his first goal for the club, while Noni Madueke found the net twice off the bench to put Chelsea in a commanding position going into the second leg.
It wasn’t all good news though, with Christopher Nkunku’s woes continuing with a missed penalty.
The Chelsea Chronicle have handed out player ratings for the dominant Blues in Europe.

Chelsea player ratings vs Legia Warsaw
Filip Jorgensen: 6/10
A clean sheet, but very quiet evening for Filip Jorgensen, with him having very little to do between the sticks for Chelsea in Warsaw.
One big moment in the final minutes that saw him deny the opposition with a great save.
Josh Acheampong: 7/10
A really promising display from Josh Acheampong in what has become an increasingly rare start for the Chelsea first team of late.
Chelsea fans got to see both sides of his game, with his role changing from advancing full-back to inverting into midfield in the second half.
Tosin Adarabioyo: 6/10
Chelsea’s dominance saw their defenders have very little to do, and this was the case for Tosin Adarabioyo in his second successive start for the club.
The most experienced outfield player in the squad, there is still a huge role for the centre-back to play in the crucial remaining weeks of the season.
Benoit Badiashile: 6/10
The Frenchman had very little to do in the time he was on the pitch before being replaced, as Benoit Badiashile continues to get minutes in the tank after his lengthy injury layoff.
Malo Gusto: 6/10
A shift to left-back for Malo Gusto did not cause him any problems before he was replaced in the second half.
The Frenchman continued to show he is vital due to his versatility for Maresca this season.

Reece James: 6/10
Another solid hour on the books for Reece James, with the captain returning to a midfield role that Maresca is so keen to use him in.
With no Moises Caicedo or Enzo Fernandez in the starting side, it was the academy graduate who dominated the midfield in Poland.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 7/10
Was Chelsea’s major source of chances throughout the 90 minutes, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall showed hunger and desire to get on to loose balls and crosses when many around him did not.
This tournanment has been the midfielder’s main source of minutes this season, and that performance will surely keep opportunities in Europe coming his way.
Cole Palmer: 5/10
Cole Palmer’s poor run of form continued in the Conference League before being replaced at half-time.
Very few things the England man tried to do came off and his frustration will only be growing at a time of the season the Blues really need him to return to his best.
Jadon Sancho: 7/10
Much more of what Chelsea have been looking for from Jadon Sancho, with him playing a starring role after switching to the left wing.
Two assists for the loanee in the second half make for a very strong evening for a player who really needed it.
Tyrique George: 8/10
Chelsea’s strong start to the second half when Tyrique George was on hand to convert from close range to score his first goal for the club.
The youngster was one of the bright sparks in attack throughout the whole 90 minutes, and proved exactly why he has been knocking on Maresca’s door for a number of months now.
Christopher Nkunku: 4/10
Christopher Nkunku’s woes continue as he missed a golden opportunity to restore some confidence when he saw his second half penalty saved.
It is fair to say Nicolas Jackson will not be too concerned about his place in the side after that performance.
Levi Colwill: 6/10
Helped maintain composure at the back when he came on at half-time, as Chelsea maintained their clean sheet and put themselves in an excellent position to advance.
Noni Madueke: 9/10
Absolutely brilliant off the bench, Noni Madueke was the difference maker as far as Chelsea are concerned when he came on at half-time.
His pace on the right-wing was a farcry from what had been offered by the Blues in the first half, and his goals in the second half may well have put the tie beyond doubt already.
Marc Cucurella: N/A
Shumaira Mheuka: N/A
Mathis Amougou: N/A
