When Estevao Willian and the rest of Chelsea's players will report back to training at Cobham - journalist

Chelsea supporters must be super excited about the return of their stars ahead of the 2025/26 season. In particular, there is huge anticipation about Estevao Willian finally arriving.

At the moment, the Chelsea players are taking a well-deserved rest for a few weeks after a busy summer, where they became world champions by winning the 32-team Club World Cup tournament.

Enzo Maresca’s target is a top-four finish next season in the Premier League, but it definitely feels like the outside expectation of the Blues is rising after

Estevao Willian, 18, will officially be arriving at Stamford Bridge from Palmeiras this summer despite the fact the deal was confirmed over a year ago. The Brazil international joins as a highly-rated attacker with a huge reputation, too.

Enzo Fernandez praised future Chelsea teammate Estevao after coming up against him this summer at the Club World Cup, where he scored for Palmeiras in a 2-1 defeat.

Estevao Willian and the Chelsea squad will return to training on 4 August

According to journalist Bobby Vincent via X, Chelsea’s squad that represented them in the Club World Cup will report back to training on Monday 4 August.

Apparently, 18-year-old wonderkid Estevao will begin training with the Blues first team at the same time.

Chelsea are scheduled to play just two pre-season games, at home to Bayer Leverkusen and then AC Milan, before they begin the 2025/26 campaign. Incidentally, the Blues kickstart next season by hosting Crystal Palace in the Premier League on 17 August.

Alan Shearer thinks Chelsea can compete for the Premier League after seeing their young group take giant strides forward. However, it’s worth remembering they have to find a way to get up to and past Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Estevao Willian part of new-look Chelsea attack

Chelsea’s options in the forward line, particularly on the wings, look fresh and exciting ahead of next term.

The Blues will be adding Estevao and Jamie Gittens as dynamic wide players to compete with Pedro Neto. On top of that, Chelsea are confident of signing RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, the versatile playmaker who can play centrally or on the left.

It should be an exciting ride to see the crop of wingers link up with strikers Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Nicolas Jackson in Maresca’s system.

In terms of Estevao’s role next season, he should feel encouraged by the fact that Noni Madueke has been sold to Arsenal because it opens up room for him in the squad. Of course, the one caveat is that the South American rising star may need some time to adapt to a new country, league, and home.
