Chelsea appear to make last-minute change to Champions League squad ahead of Bayern Munich clash
Chelsea have already registered their 25-man squad who will take part in the group stage phase of the Champions League, however it looks as if there has been a late change to who will take part.
Enzo Maresca had to say goodbye to a number of first team players over the summer so Chelsea stayed in line with the rules following UEFA’s sanction.
Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson and Renato Veiga were amongst those who departed the club, in order to register their new signings for the upcoming Champions League campaign.
The likes of Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian have been registered in the first team squad for the competition, however Facundo Buonanotte was the only addition who was not named in the side.

The loanee from Brighton made his debut for Chelsea at the weekend against Brentford, and looked very sharp before being replaced at half-time.
Chelsea fans were bemused at Buonanotte’s omission from the squad, however it looks as if this may well have been addressed.
As per UEFA’s official website, the Argentine is now on their list of available players for the Champions League group stage.
Given the fact that Maresca was willing to hand him a start in the Premier League, it is clear that the boss has faith that he can make an impact, including in European outings.

Buonanotte looks to have replaced fellow summer signing in Chelsea Champions League squad
When looking at the squad list, it looks as if Buonanotte could be set to replace another summer signing from the Champions League squad.
Dario Essugo has disappeared from the list, and this could be a sign that Chelsea are expecting him to spend a prolonged period of time on the sidelines.

Essugo picked up an injury on international duty with Portugal, and has now undergone surgery to try and resolve the issue.
However, he is expected to be out for a number of months, meaning he would be unable to make a real impact on proceedings during the group stages of the competition.
