Report: What Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi have now been doing at Chelsea to stay fit
Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi failed to secure moves away from Chelsea in the summer transfer window. As a result, they both find themselves working away from the first-team squad at Cobham because they are not in the club’s plans.
It is frustrating that Raheem Sterling, 30, and Axel Disasi, 27, are both starved of football for a few months during what should be the prime years of their respective careers.
Hopefully, the experienced Chelsea pair can find new clubs in January when the mid-season transfer window opens.
After contact from the PFA, Blues head coach Enzo Maresca insists Sterling and Disasi still have the opportunity to work, even though they are isolated from the senior squad.

Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi train with Chelsea Under-21s
According to The Athletic, Sterling and Disasi have taken part in several training sessions with Chelsea’s Under-21s team.
There is a plan in place to help both stay fit ahead of attempting to secure transfer exits in January.
The report adds that people within Chelsea believe there is now a better setup for the unwanted players compared to 2024.

Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi both need fresh start
Bayern Munich failed with an attempt to sign Sterling late in the summer transfer window. It is a sign that the English winger can still attract interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, though.
Apparently, it would cost Chelsea £30m to pay off Sterling’s deal, which doesn’t expire until 2027.
He’s had a glittering career in the Premier League, particularly with Manchester City, but his time at Stamford Bridge has been a disaster.
As for Disasi, he rejected Premier League options on deadline day because they were not appealing. The central defender definitely can contribute at a top-level club, but he may need to be less picky in the New Year.
